Sphinx x Ta’ Ċiċivetta: A Maltese Farm Experience
We’ve had the pleasure of hosting several beautiful events at Ta’ Ċiċivetta Farm in collaboration with Sphinx Pastizzeria, each one celebrating Maltese tradition, food, and togetherness.
Across these gatherings, guests were welcomed into the heart of the farm for immersive, hands-on experiences—creating some of Malta’s most beloved classics, from Sphinx’s signature pastizzi to traditional ħobż biż-żejt. A Visit Malta event is more than just a gathering—it’s a celebration of everything that makes the Maltese Islands unique. From rich history and vibrant culture to authentic gastronomy and warm hospitality, these experiences are designed to showcase Malta at its very best.
Set in beautiful locations across the islands—whether in the countryside, historic venues, or along the Mediterranean coast—each event reflects the true spirit of Maltese life: simple, genuine, and full of flavour.
At the heart of every Visit Malta experience is connection. Guests come together to share stories, enjoy locally sourced food and wine, and immerse themselves in traditions that have been passed down through generations. It’s about slowing down, appreciating the moment, and experiencing the island through its people, its culture, and its way of life.
Ultimately, these events bring people closer—to Malta, to its heritage, and to each other—through the universal language of hospitality, culture, and shared experience.
Chef Richard Gruica
Chef Richard Gruica: “I got to spend some time with Tony, the driving force behind Ta’ Ċiċivetta Farm in the wild heart of Malta, near Rabat and the whole visit felt like stepping into a living storybook. His land is alive with ideas and flavor, from his bold olive oil to preserves and spreads, all showcased in the beautiful tented space he’s built for visitors. It’s the kind of place where curiosity wakes up and your appetite leans in and man, was I hungry.
And as if that wasn’t enough, we dove into one of Malta’s tastiest traditions: Ftira biż-Żejt. This iconic sandwich — all chewy Maltese bread, olive oil, tomatoes, tuna, capers, olives, and those sunshine-filled ġbejniet cheeselets — is already a masterpiece. But today, I didn’t just eat one l got to make our own. From layering the flavours, tasting as l went — pure hands-on joy. A crunchy, salty, olive-oil-kissed creation straight from my own fingertips. Man, the Maltese Kunserva is my newest favourite spread.
Can’t wait to bring TheGourmetVacation guests here to feel, taste, and make all of this for themselves. Malta keeps serving up magic.”
TTG Event
We were honoured to host TTG’s, Top 20 UK agents in the heart of the Maltese countryside
Our guests were treated to a truly Maltese gastronomic experience — starting with a cocktail made using bajtra liqueur and fine Maltese wine. This was followed by a hands-on ftira and qassatat making experience.
The afternoon continued with a talk by our master brewer Ivan Abela - The daft dog brewery, who introduced our very own Carina Ale. A delicious Maltese-style meze prepared by Karl Mallia was served, followed by delightful sweets by Charlotte.
To close off the day, our għanejja Johnny and Frans filled the air with beautiful traditional Maltese tunes 🎶 — the perfect ending to a lovely afternoon celebrating Malta’s flavours, traditions, and hospitality

ElBurritoMonster x Luke Tarrant
We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming two incredible humans - Luke Tarrant & Elburritomonster to Ta’ Ċiċivetta Farm. From the moment they arrived, the energy was amazing. We kicked things off with a warm welcome and a farm tour, then had front-row seats to watch the one and only Burrito Guy do his thing (let’s just say the dogs were just as impressed as we were. As well as cooking_out_of_the_box
The laughter really kicked off when our traditional Maltese għannejja (folk singers) took the stage—sharing stories, cracking jokes, and keeping the vibe light and joyful. Then it was time for some hands-on fun—our guests met all the animals, gave our pig a much-appreciated refreshing shower , and took our star Dwardu the donkey for a walk. As always, he stole the show with his sweet personality and charm.
Later, we gathered to do what we love most—cooking up a delicious, home-cooked traditional Maltese meal made with love and laughter. We ate, talked, shared stories and memories, and ended the evening with our homemade limoncello and Charlotte’s mouthwatering “pastini di mandorla”.
It was a night full of connection, joy, and unforgettable moments. Thank you both for bringing your beautiful energy—hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Until next time… always the best vibes at Ta’ Ċiċivetta Farm
Shane Delia visits Ta’ Ċiċivetta Farm
Shane Delia: “It is not often that we are reminded just how powerful food, family, and tradition can be—but today was one of those special days.
We had the pleasure of welcoming someone we had never met before into our home, our hearts, and our kitchen here at Ta’ Ċiċivetta Farm. What began as a simple meal quickly became something far more meaningful—an experience built on shared stories, laughter, and a deep appreciation for our Maltese roots.
Moments like these capture the true essence of Maltese hospitality. No matter where we come from, we are united by a shared heritage, a love for our island, and a passion for honest, heartwarming food. Around our table, strangers become friends, and friendships feel like family.
This spirit is something that has been passed down through generations—from our earliest ancestors who came across the sea, to the Maltese communities now spread across the world. It lives on in every dish we prepare and every guest we welcome.
To our guest, thank you for trusting us, for sharing this moment with us, and for becoming part of our extended family. We are truly grateful for the connection we’ve built and look forward to many more shared meals and memories in the future.”
What a pleasure it was hosting Shane Delia at Ta’ Ċiċivetta Farm.
Michelin Cook-out
An unforgettable cookout bringing together some of the finest culinary minds for a celebration of food, fire, and friendship.
We were honoured to host an incredible lineup of talent, including Ashley Hatton from the world-renowned The Fat Duck, Andrew Borg of Le GV, Robert Walton, internationally acclaimed Roy Ner, and Karl Mallia.

Each chef brought their own style and personality to the grill, blending modern techniques with traditional flavours to create a truly unique culinary experience.
From fire-kissed meats and fresh seasonal produce to bold, creative dishes, the day was a showcase of passion, collaboration, and respect for the craft. More than just a cookout, it was a meeting of minds—where ideas were exchanged, friendships were strengthened, and inspiration flowed as freely as the wine.
